  • Objective: The student will obtain an understanding of the concepts, limitations and advantages of using computers in carrying out mathematical computations
  • Errors. Systems of linear and nonlinear equations. Polynomial interpolation. Curve fitting. Numerical differentiation. Numerical integration. Ordinary and partial differential equations. Concepts of Finite element methods. Symbolic computation. Computer memory usage, overheads and time constraints of numerical algorithms.
